Bromley Butterflies!

In true, indecisive style, I've bought another David Bromley throw to use again as a wall hanging. I saw it advertised by Melbourne's Capocchi and liked the muted colour way far better than the first 'butterfly' design I have previously posted pictures of. They kindly swapped them over and the throw arrived yesterday! It's quite large and will look beautiful against either a dark charcoal or crisp white wall. It is very, very difficult to purchase things online, sight unseen; particularly art as you need to rely on the quality and honesty of the depicted image. So far, I've been lucky! What do you think? Did I make the right decision?

  1. I think it's beautiful!

How will you fix it to the wall? Will you frame it?

  2. Thanks for your comment B! I had a tapestry many years ago that was hung on a timber batten that was fixed to the wall. I think I'll try that arrangement. Of course, I need to gyprock the wall first!!!

  3. Hello:
This butterfly design is most attractive and, like you, we are drawn to the somewhat muted colours which give it something of a classical look. Lovely. Have a very happy weekend.

  4. Hi thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments! This is quite stunning.....how is something like this hung? I could see it either on a bright white wall or for maximum drama, as you said a dark or black wall. Wow! Can't wait to see what you decide!
